For many problems the influence of the CFD solution on the FEA solution is a lot more remarkable and significant than vice versa. If a one-way connection between the fluid and the solid solver shall be established, quantity values  have to be transferred from the CFD to the FEM mesh. Then the structural mechanics solver can use these values as a boundary condition.

The MpCCI FSIMapper is offered as add-on facilty for various post-processing tools:

• as a fully integrated solution using the MpCCI Visualiser
• as a  plug-in for EnSight using the Python interface
  
• as a pure batch executable with export to vtk-format (ParaView)
