An Introduction of the Application experience of MpCCI in IHI

Many IHI products should take into account the influence of flow induced vibration, heat exchangers, sensor in piping, etc. Since there are few past studies of numerical analysis of these phenomena, we must now perform experimental evaluation for each design case. As the first step of numerical analysis, which will be necessarily coupling analysis, the following problems are solved by ABAQUS-MpCCI-FLUENT and compared to existing experimental result: 1. 2D single cylinder, 2. 3D single (rigid, elastically supported) cylinder, 3. 2D cylinder array. In this study, ABAQUS ver. 6.8-3, FLUENT ver. 6.3.26, and MpCCI ver. 3.0.6 are used.
