Open MpCCI Research Community

The intention of the Open MpCCI Research Community is to support and motivate the exchange of information, experience, results, and discussion on MpCCI-based simulation coupling. Research groups are invited to join this Community by providing a webpage (see template page) of their ongoing work - thus giving other interested parties the shortest way to a growing variety of concepts, solutions and results. There is a fastly growing list of research topics - some of them are listed below:

Methods and Algorithms

  • Coupling algorithms for stable and convergent solutions
  • Accurate and conservative mapping of quantities
  • Coupling of incompatible model geometries
  • Fluid-structure interaction and incompressible media

Software Issues

  • Open access to code’s interfaces (APIs) and file formats
  • Extending an integrated solution by own in-house codes
  • Integration of software from different vendors into end-user’s environment

Validation Cases

  • Reference cases for testing and QA
  • Templates for multidisciplinary modelling classes

Challenging Application Areas
